How long have you been studying at the Hampstead School of English?

I have been studying English at the Hampstead School of English for 6 months.

J'ai étudié durant six mois à Hampstead School of English.

What do you do in your country?

I finished my high school in June 2009 and now I would like to join a University in interior design.

J'ai fini mon gymnase (lycêe) en juin dernier et à présent je voudrais m'inscrire dans une universitê ou une haute êcole en décoration d'intêrieur.

Why did you choose the Hampstead School of English?

I chose Hampstead School of English because I had a conference in my school about it. Also because someone advised me.

J'ai choisi Hampstead School of English parce que j'ai assistê à une confêerence dans mon gymnase l'année passêe, concernant cette êcole et par la suite quelqu' un me la conseillêe.

Do you think your English has improved since you started studying at the Hampstead School of English?

Yes, I really improved my English. I can notice that because when I arrived in September I was in the B1 level and 6 months later I am in the C1. I'm not afraid anymore to speak English.

Oui, je pense avoir amélioré mon anglais. Je le nemarque du fait que, lors de mon arrivée à l'école mon niveau d'anglais était équivalent à B1 et après six mois j'ai atteint le niveau C1. Et aussi parce que je ne ressens plus la crainte de m'exprimer en anglais.

Have you taken any exams at the school? Were you successful?

Yes, I booked an exam but I didn't take it yet. So I hope that I will be successful!

Oui, j'ai planifié un examen mais je ne l'ai pas encore passê. Alors j'espére le rêussir.

How will your improved level of English help you when you return home?

I don't know if it will help me when I go back home but English will be really useful in my future career as an interior designer.

Je ne sais pas s'il va m'être utile dans l'immêdiat une fois retournée chez moi. Mais en revanche il va m'être d'une grande aide dans ma future carriére en tant que décoratrice d'intérieur.

What would be your advice to a student who intends to come to London and Hampstead to study English?

Firstly, don't be shy! If you need help just ask the school staff. They are really helpful. The most important advice that I can give you is just to be open minded, even if you don't speak English really well chat with other people who have a different mother tongue than you. If you want to improve your English it's also essential to have a social life outside the school, such as going out with your friends from the school.

Finally, come and have your own experience - you won't regret it! My experience will be imprinted in my mind for my whole life. Nowadays I have close friends all around the world with whom I will keep in touch with for sure.

Premiérement, ne soyez pas timide! Si vous avaz besoin d'aide il suffit juste de le demander au personnel de l'école, qui seront toujours prêts à vous aider. Le plus important des conseils que je puisse vous donner, c'est d'être ouvert aux autres. Même si votre anglais n'est pas des plus brilliant, il est important de parler avec les autres étudiants. Pour perfectionner votre anglais prenez le temps de sortir avec vos amis.

Finalement, venez et faites votre propre expérience, vous ne le regretterez pas! Mon expérience restera imprimée à jamais dans mes souvenirs. Je peux dire maintenant que j'ai des amis proches dans le monde entier avec qui je vais garder contact j'en suis persuadée.
